Events Director Michelle Mendez, who currently sits on the board of the Southern California Chapter of PCMA (Professional Convention Management Association), has been voted in as its President-Elect for 2013. Michelle was recently interviewed and featured in the industry magazine, Corporate & Incentive Travel. The article informed readers of the new hotels and renovations that are currently taking place and all the business opportunities Las Vegas has to offer and why show organizers pick Las Vegas over other cities. Michelle was also invited to speak on a panel discussion hosted by the Las Vegas Hospitality Association. The panel, “State of the Industry Forum: Listening to our Customer,” provided panelists the opportunity to let Las Vegas convention management know how they compare to other cities and to hear what is important to conference organizers.
