Publisher of Modern Tire Dealer Greg Smith traveled to California to attend a party honoring Mountain View Tire’s Nick Mitsos, MTD’s Tire Dealer of the Year. More than 200 people were on hand to see Greg and MTD give $5,500 to the St. Anthony’s Greek Orthodox Church in Pasadena, Calif., in recognition of his achievement. At the SEMA convention, Bob Ulrich presented the outgoing president of the Tire Industry Association (TIA) with a portrait and moderated a panel for TIA as part of its “Green @ Noon” seminar series. Bob was also part of a panel discussion at the New Jersey State Tire Dealers Association meeting in New Jersey in October. And finally, senior editor Bob Bissler just returned from a trip to Costa Rica for the Kumho tire dealer meeting.
