Honoring our Law Enforcement Heroes

Police Magazine staffers Leslie Pfeiffer, Paul Clinton, and David Griffith recently flew to Washington, D.C., for National Police Week. Leslie and David attended a number of special events, including the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) Chairman’s Dinner and a VIP reception.
On Friday May 13, all three Bobit associates attended the annual candlelight vigil for fallen police officers held at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. More than 20,000 attendees lit candles during the vigil to honor the officers. Speakers included Attorney General Eric Holder and Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano. After the vigil Leslie and Paul met up at the wall to photograph the name of an officer who was killed in the line of duty and is the uncle of a local Scottsdale Police Department Officer that Leslie knows at his request.
The next day Paul and David attended the annual NLEOMF Officer of the Month luncheon. Police Magazine is media sponsor of the Officer of the Month program and was recognized as such during the luncheon by NLEOMF Chairman/CEO Craig Floyd. Before the luncheon David and Paul recorded video interviews for PoliceMag.com with five of the honorees.
