Automotive Fleet's Editor Speaking "Down Under"

Mike Antich was the keynote speaker at the 2011 annual conference of the Australasian Fleet Managers Association (AfMA), held March 22-23 in Melbourne, Australia. The meeting was attended by approximately 300 fleet managers and fleet industry suppliers. The conference also attracted fleet representatives from other East Asian countries, including a sizeable contingent from China. Mike’s keynote presentation was on “The State of the Global Fleet Management Industry.”
After his presentation, Mike, along with four other Australian fleet industry experts, took center stage to participate in an hour-long Town Hall discussion fielding questions from conference attendees. Mike is the first-ever international speaker to address the members of AfMA.
On a separate trip several weeks later Mike was one of six U.S. journalists invited by Hino Trucks to travel to Japan to get a sneak preview of the company’s all-new Class 4 and Class 5 cab-over-engine medium-duty trucks and its all-new Class 4 and Class 5 hybrid trucks. The meeting included test drives of Hino’s entire product line at the company’s test track, a tour of its Hamura assembly plant, product briefings by the company’s head engineers and senior management, and a visit to Ito-En, one of the company’s largest fleet customers.
